How to Get FREE Amazon Gift Cards - BIGPriceDrops

How to Get FREE Amazon Gift Cards – 5 Easy Ways

October 20, 2022/0 Comments/in Amazon/by perry

[updated for 2023] It doesn’t matter if you love them or hate them, if you do all of your shopping there or none of your shopping there, there’s no denying Amazon is the king of e-commerce, and because you can buy a ton of stuff on Amazon, having an Amazon Gift Card is like having cash.

Here are five ways you can earn free Amazon Gift Cards if you want to buy something specific on Amazon.

You can earn some FREE Amazon Gift Cards from one of the apps we’re going to mention in this post, and even make over a hundred pounds from the other apps we are going to mention. These methods have worked for a few years, so we’re pretty excited to share them with you.

1. Cash Back Browsers

First, using cash back browser extensions is great way to earn free Amazon Gift Cards. The two most popular ones we have used and you’ve probably heard of are Honey. and Capital One Shopping.

We’ve got a lot of Amazon gift cards through Honey over the years, and it’s probably our favourite extension, but Capital One Shopping is also good. Both extensions are pretty similar. Basically, both of these extensions apply coupons automatically at checkout.

Honey is one of the most popular extensions, and in a nutshell they apply coupon codes when you shop online and you save money. That doesn’t get you Amazon Gift Cards, it just helps you save more money when you shop online, but you can earn free gift cards by shopping at certain merchants with Honey and Capital One Shopping too.

You can earn Honey Gold with Honey, and with Capital One Shopping you can earn credits. Essentially you buy products from sponsored merchants and you get credits or some kind of cash back. You can redeem those points for free stuff, including Amazon Gift Cards.

If you shop a lot online, these two extensions are worth downloading, and you can also refer your friends or family members for free credits and you can exchange for gift cards. They’re both worth trying.

Honey App

2. Amazon Shopper Panel

You can earn free Amazon Gift Cards with the new Amazon Shopper Panel app, which is from Amazon itself. This is the best way to get gift cards for free because you can actually earn £60 or more per year in free Amazon Gift Cards with this app. It’s also super easy to use.

Your Amazon shopper panel account basically requires you to upload 10 non-Amazon receipts every month. Uploading 10 receipts in a month gets you 10 Amazon credits, which is basically an Amazon Gift Card or charitable donation.

Upload your receipts from online or in-store purchases and you’ll get £5 of Amazon Gift Card money every month. Do that for a year and you’ll have £60.

Occasionally, you can also answer short surveys in the app, so there’s some potential to earn more than £60. You just need a receipt that’s not from Amazon.

The only downsides is that it’s an opt in invitation only program and there’s a waitlist in the UK. We think it’s the best way to get free Amazon Gift Cards and you know it’s legit because it comes from Amazon.

3. Reward Apps

Our third method to get free Amazon Gift Cards is to use reward apps. These apps aren’t going to make you rich, but we think they’re a nice way to earn some free gift cards in your spare time, especially if you do most of your household shopping online and like the extensions.

The idea is pretty similar to the browser extensions;

  • Download the free apps,
  • Shop at specific merchants or buy certain products that are sponsored by these apps
  • Get a percentage of your purchase back as a form of cash back.

You can sometimes redeem points for PayPal Cash depending on the app but most reward apps these days only let you redeem free gift cards but they all include Amazon

. It’s a nifty and an easy way to get more free Amazon money.

The two most popular apps in this space in particular are Fetch Rewards, and Ibotta. If you’ve ever looked into reward apps before you’ve probably heard of these two.

They’re the most popular ones in the space. The apps are also very easy to use. You basically open them, select the offers you want to shop for and when you purchase them, just snap a photo of your receipt, upload it to the app and Bingo! You earn cash back.

We like Fetch rewards more than Ibotta because you can redeem gift cards starting at around three dollars or 3,000 points. Whereas Ibotta takes 20 dollar’s worth of earnings to cash out, so it’s a little bit slower but if you do most of the shopping for your household we suggest trying out both of these apps because you can earn free gift cards over the course of a year.

If you’re a teenager reading this and you don’t do most of the shopping, tell your parents about it or maybe become the cash back app guru of your house and get the gift cards after you upload some receipts on behalf of your parents and help your family save money too.

4. Paid Surveys

The fourth method you can use to get free Amazon Gift Cards is to use paid survey websites. Paid survey websites are very popular and people do make money with them.

If you read money making guides online they’re very popular, so whether you love them or hate them, it is a viable option to at least earn a bit of extra money in your spare time. Some of them are also teenager friendly or you friendly if you don’t have a bank or PayPal account. You can sign up for some of these as young as 13. So you can earn some gift cards in your spare time and at least make a little money online.

In terms of getting Amazon gift cards some of your best options are Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and Prize Rebel. You can earn rewards in a variety of ways including; taking surveys, watching videos, playing video games, shopping and searching the web,

It’s up to you to research which ones you like using, and test them out a little bit. The only advice we would offer is not to spend too much time here because the opportunity cost of answering surveys all day for five or ten pounds of amazon gift card money is quite significant.

You use them to make a bit of Amazon money in your spare time if you’re kind of desperate, but don’t rely on survey websites for too long.

Take Surveys to Make Money Online

5. Cash Back Credit Cards

The fifth and final way to get free Amazon Gift Cards is by far the most passive and something we think everybody should be doing provided you can use it correctly and the idea that we are about to share is cash back credit cards.

This is really a no-brainer and if you can use a credit card responsibly there’s no reason not to have a cash back credit card in your wallet. At the very least, a cash back credit card lets you earn about one or two percent of your money back in the form of cash back, so if you’re spending a few thousand pounds a year, or tens of thousands of pounds per year on this card, that’s actually some significant savings.

For starters, one cash back credit card you can try is the Amazon Platinum MasterCard. Right off the bat new cardholders get £20 free Amazon gift card when you sign up and qualify for it.

You also earn 1.5 Amazon Reward Points for every £2 you spend on Amazon.co.uk and 0.5 Amazon Reward Points everywhere else i.e. restaurants, petrol stations and on flights. There’s no annual fee and 0% interest for three months from account opening. So if you’re a serious Amazon shopper and you’re looking for a card this might be the right one for you.

If you Google a list of the best cash back credit cards you’ll find lists everywhere with the best cards for the given month when you’re searching for it. A lot of cards pay bonus offers like 200 pounds for free or 300 pounds if you spend a certain amount within your first three or six months of becoming a card holder.

So do some research, find a cash back credit card that a works for your spending habits and has a good sign up offer. If you can use a credit card responsibly we’d definitely recommend it because it’s just free money at the end of the day and it might score you some free Amazon gift cards as well.

How to Get Free Amazon Gift Cards 2023

American Express Membership Rewards

You can actually use American Express reward points on Amazon if you’re sending money anyway and using a charge card. 1,000 reward points equal £4.50.

At the moment, the Amex Gold card gives you 20,000 reward points when you spend £3,000 in six months. In exchange for spending £500 (or equivalent) on the card, you get a £100 Amazon gift card. Check their website for updated or new deals. This offer is current as of updating of this post.

Amazon.co.uk

Amazon sometimes gives you an extra £5 if you top up a gift card. So you might want to check if Amazon is running any of these offers before you buy something. They don’t cost you any more than you would normally pay. If they’re willing to throw free money our way, who are we to complain?

GetPaidTo

As with SwagBucks, you can take surveys, play games, offer walls, and earn rewards, like Amazon gift cards!

The task you’re asked to do shows you the reward amount you’ll earn so you can pick the best one, and if you want to send the Amazon reward to someone else, you can!

InstaCG

InstaGC lets you earn points by watching videos, surfing the web, completing surveys, and shopping online.

InstaGC cards are digital and instant, so you don’t have to wait for your Amazon (or any of the 320+) gift cards to arrive.

Mechanical Turk (MTurk)

Unless you specifically request bank transfers, M-Turk from Amazon pays you in Amazon gift codes for data entry work from home.

I’m curious, what will you be doing? It’s crazy how many tiny jobs are available, mostly doing small tasks in exchange for rewards.

There are quite a few stipulations on the work they ask you to do, so you’ll only earn your rewards if your work is accepted. You should join up and do one or two easy tasks, then see if they’re accepted and move forward!

MobileXpression

Market research company MobileXpresssion wants your data! The company tracks how you use your phone and the internet, and they sell that information to other marketing companies. However, no personal data (names, address, etc.) is sold.

What do you get for handing over your data? Obviously, Amazon gift cards!

Opinion Outpost

Join Opinion Outpost and make some money out of your opinion. The rewards you get from paid market research can be exchanged for Amazon vouchers, money into your PayPal or Apple account, with a low cash-out minimum of just £2.50!

Receipt Hog

You scan your receipts after you’ve been grocery shopping and Receive Hog rewards you with vouchers, including an Amazon gift card!

Your shopping habits are compiled and sold to marketing companies, but no personal information is included.

You’ll have to get into the habit of doing this, to make it worthwhile. Cash outs start at £3 and can reach up to £50. Personally, when I’ve met the minimum requirements, I cash out and keep my gift codes on Amazon.

SmartSpotter

You can make money with your smartphone. Make money doing fun and easy jobs as a mystery shopper. Once you have earned £20 you can choose to have this paid out automatically in your preferred payment method.

SurveyJunkie

Consumer insights platform DISQO owns Survey Junkie, which is an online market research community.

You’ll be joining millions of people who share opinions and behaviours in exchange for rewards when you join them.

You can redeem Survey Junkie points for cash, PayPal, and Amazon gift cards. Cash outs start at $5 (500 points).

Surveyeah

Gives you Amazon gift cards or PayPal money in exchange for surveys. When you sign up, you’ll get surveys specific to the country you’re in, in this case the UK, and they’re usually about products that are about to launch.

I like Surveyeah and it’s a great way to earn Amazon vouchers!

Swagbucks UK

Once you earn 700 SwagBucks (their currency to claim rewards), Swagbucks will give you a £5 Amazon gift card. What do you have to do? You can take surveys, watch videos, play games, etc.

Getting started and earning SwagBucks can take a bit of time, but they do add up over time. You can do it literally anywhere, standing in a supermarket line, etc.

Check back often so you know what you’re working towards. SwagBucks offers change frequently, so keep an eye on them!

Top Cashback

There’s nothing better than Top Cashback. Just by buying on their site, you can earn a lot of money. Many people check the cash-back sites before they buy anything. For things you were going to buy anyway, it’s basically free money.

In addition to getting cash back, you can also get Amazon vouchers for your cash-back, so I included it here since it’s an option. This could be combined with a top-up Amazon gift card offer if you’re shopping on Amazon anyway or planning a big purchase.

Toluna

Toluna is mainly a survey site but you can cash out your rewards as Amazon gift cards. Toluna has a forum where you can interact with other members, and the more info you give them, the more surveys you’ll be invited to do. By giving them your information when you sign up, they can match you with the surveys, so if you let them have more, you might get more rewards.

YouSpotProperty

Is there an empty property in your neighbourhood or a place you’ve seen while you’re out and about? Simply report it to youspotproperty.com, and you’ll get a £20 Amazon gift card.

Why would they do that? If they buy the place you saw and bring it back into use, you get 1% of the purchase price! So reporting an empty property could make them a big profit.

You have to meet their requirements to get the £20 Amazon gift card, so make sure you check their list of requirements before you start. They also donate £500 to a local charity.

Do Amazon Gift Cards Work Internationally?

The Amazon gift card can only be used in the country where it was bought or issued in.

Can I Get Cash for My Amazon Gift Card

Amazon gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, but there are a few sites where you can sell them to get cash. Most sites take a commission for letting you sell your gift card, so you won’t get its full face value.

CardYard

The Cardyard site has a calculator that lets you see how much you’d get for your gift card. With an Amazon gift card worth £50, I’d get the cash value of £45, or a credit value of £47.25. Unless you need cash fast, it might be better to use the full cash value and hold onto your Amazon gift cards.

Caryard Gift Card Calculator

Paxful

Paxful is an international marketplace to buy and sell gift cards and cryptocurrencies. So if you have a gift card you don’t need, you can now trade it for Bitcoin.

Paxful - Gift Car- Bitcoin

There you have it, more than a dozen ways you can earn free Amazon gift cards in your spare time. Some methods require a bit of effort while some are more passive like using a credit card or cash back app.

However, there are a lot of scams in this space. If you look up guides on this or watch videos, you’ll find all of these Amazon gift card code generators or guides that say you’ll earn hundreds of dollars in free gift cards per day, week, or month, whatever it happens to be. Don’t waste time with this nonsense!

Most people can earn about 50 to 100 pounds in free Amazon gift cards money per year. You too can probably earn a few hundred if you really grind out surveys or these apps and you put some effort in, but don’t buy into these code generators or any of that baloney.

This isn’t really a full-on side hustle, it’s more of just an easy way to earn some free money and treat yourself once in a while with some Amazon purchases.

If we missed a method on earning free Amazon gift cards that you know about, please let us know in the comments below, so other people can also start earning free Amazon gift cards.
